The Alliance of Radical Booksellers has created a map of radical bookshops across the UK from the 1960s to the present. The website, created by On the Record, maps both current and former bookshops and includes information about their history and specialisms. It is a useful outcome of the Radical Bookselling History Project and is a vital resource for those interested in bookselling and bookseller history.
Many of the sources used in the development of the map come from The Radical Bookseller (1979-1992) journal. If the map has whetted your appetite for the content, you will find it has been recently digitised by Senate House Library.
Both the project and the digitisation are generously supported by the Barry Amiel and Norman Melburn Trust.
