According to the Society’s constitution, three Council members are due to step down at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 28 October 2025. Nominations for Council will therefore be considered at the Council meeting on Wednesday 10 September 2025 and should be submitted to the Hon. Secretary (secretary@bibsoc.org.uk) no later than Friday 5 September 2025 in order to be circulated in advance of that meeting.
Nominations for ordinary Council members should be supported by a brief summation of a candidate’s suitability for the Council and include a description of their particular skills and expertise. All Council members are expected to be proactively involved in the business of the Society and take on the organisation and execution of additional events or short-term projects during their time on Council.
Members of the Society may nominate other members or themselves. No more than three nominations may be submitted by any one person.
