The Bibliographical Society has for many years kept up a web page of additions and corrections to Julian Roberts and Andrew G. Watson’s edition of John Dee’s Library Catalogue, published by the Society in 1990. The original list of additions was maintained by Julian Roberts. A new list was established following his death.
We are pleased to announce a further identification, made by Dr Anna-Lujz Gilbert (Research Associate, University of Manchester) and Samantha Brown (PhD student, Centre for Editing Lives and Letters, University College London).
The new item is no. 414 in the original Roberts and Watson catalogue. It has been discovered in Bodleian Library BB 110 Art, an edition of Michael Stifel, Arithmetica integra (Nuremburg, 1544).
