The Bibliographical Society and CILIP Rare Books and Special Collections Group and have joined together for an event on acquisitions, aimed at librarians, archivists and curators although all are welcome!
The event will feature the Society’s President Nicolas Bell providing an overview of the Acceptance-in-Lieu and Cultural Gifts Scheme and Nell Hoare of the Friends of the Nations Libraries introducing their work and how they support acquisitions.
Simon Beattie (bookseller) and Lucy Evans (librarian) will give an adapted version of their popular York Antiquarian Book Seminar on selling to libraries.
There will be a chance to ask all your burning questions about acquiring collections from a group of librarians, academics and booksellers.
